  • Ep 949 | What ‘He Gets Us’ Gets Wrong

    12/02/2024 Duration: 54min

Today we're recapping last night's Super Bowl and breaking down the "He Gets Us" campaign, which paid for two ad spots in last night's game. We explain the two "He Gets Us" ads and how they don't actually share the gospel but instead affirm that Christianity is actually about us to people who already dislike Christianity. We talk about what this ad campaign misses about Jesus and how essential the full truth of the gospel is when you have the money, time, and ability to convey the gospel message in 45 seconds during the Super Bowl. We explain why you shouldn't be discouraged by this and how we can be praying for people to hear the real, unapologetic gospel. Then, we discuss the shooting that occurred at Joel Osteen's church yesterday afternoon and the strange pattern that this event follows. 08/02/2024 Duration: 48min

Today we're joined by Päivi Räsänen, a member of Finnish Parliament, who is currently on trial in Finland for posting a Bible verse on X after a local church chose to support a "pride" event. Päivi was originally prosecuted for the crime of “agitation against a minority group”, under the section of “war crimes and crimes against humanity” in the Finnish criminal code, and was acquitted twice. Yet the prosecution continues to appeal the not guilty verdict, and Päivi finds herself yet again back in court. The prosecution claims that Päivi's real crime wasn't posting the Bible verse, but claiming that the Bible condemns homosexuality in that post. We're also joined by Kristen Waggoner, CEO of Alliance Defending Freedom, to discuss the legal specifics of this case and the greater implications of punishing free speech. Päivi shares encouragement for standing up for truth, and her perspective as her case continues. You can learn more about ADF here: https://adfinternational.org/ Go to alliemerch.com to get our ne

  • Ep 947 | Bethany Hamilton Fights the Trans Tidal Wave | Guest: Ron Simmons

    07/02/2024 Duration: 53min

Today we're talking about Rip Curl, an Australian brand that specializes in swimwear for surfers, dropping Bethany Hamilton as their brand ambassador and instead hiring a trans-identifying man. Recently Bethany has spoken out against men in women's sports, and many speculate that this contributed to Rip Curl dropping her. We take a look at their new ambassador, "Sasha Lowerson," and explain why it's such a travesty to see once attractive, successful men turn into examples of perversion. Then we're joined again by Allie's dad Ron Simmons for a breakdown of what's going on in the recent border bill and what the landscape for the upcoming election looks like. We cover the many criticisms that Republicans have presented when it comes to this border bill and give our theories on whether it will even push forward. We also discuss the inclusion of funding Ukraine and Israel in this bill, and the avoidance of calling the Mexican cartels terrorist organizations. We ask the ultimate question: Is the border crisis ever

We also give an update on last week's Alistair Begg episode and explain further why it's important not to ignore missteps in Christian wisdom. Then, Jill Biden has invited Kate Cox, the mother from Texas who crossed state lines to abort her baby after Texas barred her from aborting, to the State of the Union. We recap Kate Cox's story and explain why she should not be setting an example for other women when it comes to abortion. We also look at the recent "study" claiming that rape numbers have increased in post-Roe America. We explain how this "research" is funded by a Planned Parenthood director and has absolutely no logic behind it. We conclude with your favorite: a Grammys fashion review! • Ep 945 | Churches: Beware of the 'After Party' Trojan Horse | Guest: Megan Basham

    05/02/2024 Duration: 59min

Today we're joined by Megan Basham, culture reporter for the Daily Wire, to discuss her investigation into the After Party, a curriculum written by Curtis Chang, David French, and Russell Moore, which is being pushed onto churches in an effort to bring Christians of different political backgrounds together. Megan shares how this curriculum not only fails at its objective but is funded by secular progressives: Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. We discuss why Rockefeller’s interest in bankrolling Bible studies is a red flag, including the fact that among the other initiatives funded are organizations that are pro-LGBTQ and pro-abortion. What's in the After Party curriculum and what message is it really sending? We also look at the "AND Campaign" and how it is also funded by the Rockefellers. We explain how politics is a way to love our neighbor and why getting it right matters for the church. You can pre-order Megan's new book, "Evangelicals for Rent: Why Church Leaders Traded the Truth for a Leftist Agenda"

Today we're joined by Todd and Krista Kolstad, Montana parents who find themselves entangled in an ongoing months-long custody battle for their 14-year-old daughter. The couple candidly open up about the challenges they faced and the heartbreak they endured after losing custody of their daughter. Montana's Child and Family Services gained custody of their daughter when they refused to affirm her newfound "gender identity" as a boy. We delve into the origin of the dispute, starting as a seemingly minor disagreement and escalating into a legal battle that no parent could anticipate. The Kolstads courageously navigate through the difficult terrain of their daughter's claims of wanting to harm herself, shedding light on the emotional toll this took on their family. Then, we give our take on the corruption within government organizations created to "protect" children and how we can fight back against cases where their actions are not for the good of children. • Ep 943 | Alistair Begg Doubles Down on Gay Wedding Advice

    31/01/2024 Duration: 48min

Today we're discussing the controversy surrounding Pastor Alistair Begg and his recent statements on gay weddings. In a recent podcast, Pastor Begg responded to a question about attending a "transgender" person's wedding, saying that he does recommend going. Naturally, many were upset by this advice, but Pastor Begg doubled down in a sermon, comparing this situation to the story of the prodigal son. We explain why this parallel misses the mark and answer the questions: What is the actual Christian approach to the issue of gay weddings, and how should we respond to teachers who get it wrong? We discuss their initial meeting and how he responded to learning what had happened to her and how she still chose life for him. 25/01/2024 Duration: 01h07min

Today we're joined by our friend Justin Haskins, author and director of the Socialism Research Center at the Heartland Institute, to discuss what the world's elites got up to at Davos 2024 and just how concerned we need to be about it. First we look at the World Economic Forum's definition of "misinformation," which was the theme of the meeting. We look at why the WEF invited a select few from the Right, such as Argentinian President Javier Milei and Kevin Roberts of the Heritage Foundation, when they knew these people would directly challenge the Davos initiative. The answer is rather nefarious. We explain what the World Economic Forum's strategy is to combat so-called "misinformation" and why we should be paying attention to state-level government. We touch on what Texas Governor Greg Abbott is doing at the Texas border and what the future might hold when it comes to states' rights. We also discuss the dangers of the World Economic Forum's view of artificial intelligence and why we must agree on the foundat

    23/01/2024 Duration: 57min

Today we're talking about the Supreme Court's decision to side with the Biden administration in a case involving a razor-wire fence along Texas’ border, in effect allowing Border Patrol agents to cut the wire intended to hold back migrants from entering. This move felt like a betrayal to conservatives after Justice Amy Coney Barrett sided against enforcing the border. We discuss what's going to happen now and why Christians are so confused about the immigration issue. Then, head writer and chief researcher for Glenn Beck Jason Buttrill joins to discuss the latest Blaze Originals documentary, "The Real Story of Colony Ridge." We explain what's really going on in Colony Ridge, Texas’ fastest-growing housing development that seems to be targeting and exploiting illegal immigrants. We look at the shocking numbers of migrants entering our country and how we should respond to what's going on at the border in light of what our government is doing there. We discuss the suburban female vote and what an important demographic this is and why many will be tempted to vote for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. rather than Trump. Then, Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice appeared on Joy Reid's show last week and demolished her on "book bans" and inappropriate books in schools. Today we're joined by conservative commentator Clarkson Lawson to debate the issue of surrogacy and theocratic conservatism. We start off with a discussion on surrogacy and the ethics surrounding it. Is surrogacy ever justified, and what are the issues we need to consider before condoning it? We look at how much more liberal countries have banned surrogacy and what this might mean when it comes to ethics. • Ep 931 | Out: Trad Trend, In: Biblical Womanhood

    10/01/2024 Duration: 44min

Today we're starting off with a theory that the "trad" movement is ending just like any other trend. We explain why this movement was never rooted in biblical womanhood, and while there is nothing inherently wrong with the way "trad wives" live, it's also possible to be a God-glorifying woman without the dresses and homemade sourdough bread. Then, rapper Lil Nas X has entered his "Christian era," which seems to involve blasphemous imagery of himself as Christ and a giant troll campaign. We look at his sordid history of satanic imagery and explain how, while Lil Nas X is dead in his sin, he is no more lost than any other lost person we should pray for. We also talk about the U.S. National Junior Hockey Team's heartwarming singing of the national anthem, the Fort Worth explosion, the ongoing migrant crisis, and a popular conspiracy theory that might make some of you question everything. --- Timecodes: (01:17) Trad trend (17:25) Lil Nas X (30:20) US hockey team sings National Anthem (32:27) Fort Worth explosi
