The Cincinnati Reds got a badly needed win over the San Diego Padres on Tuesday night. IT's the kind of win that Andrew Abbott, Elly De La Cruz, and the Reds really needed to just reset things. Now that the bullpen has had a get right feel, and the lineup finally scored enough runs, the Reds can get going again. There were signs of life from multiple individual Reds players like WIll Benson, Fernando Cruz, and Alexis Diaz that is encouraging. The Cincinnati Reds have a budding superstar in Elly De La Cruz so, naturally, some Reds fans worry about the Reds ability to keep De La Cruz long term. The Cincinnati Reds are finding new ways to lose. The Reds fell to the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-5 on Monday night as Alexis Diaz blew the save. Diaz and Fernando Cruz are guys the Reds should trust the most out of the bullpen but they were the reason the Reds lost on Monday. The Reds shouldn't lose when Mike Ford triples, but here we are. Another reason the Reds lost was giving back momentum with base running blunders. Jonathan India and Elly De La Cruz cost the Reds a potential rally in the seventh inning. The Cincinnati Reds once again saw the slump kill another game as they lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Overshadowing that loss was the gain of TJ Friedl returning to the lineup. Friedl being back opens up a lot of possibilities for the Reds, especially against right-handed pitchers. Nick Lodolo allowed a leadoff home run and nothing else as the Cincinnati Reds lefty dominated the San Diego Padres lineup. Lodolo having two pitches that baffled hitters really showed his potential to be the Reds ace.
