This week Joe Moore stops by for another movie review. Black Panther is now in theaters and it has blown everyone away. Beware, this review does have some SPOILERS for the film. It does a fantastic job representing African-American culture. It goes further than that for its inclusion of women. The Dora Milaje, the personal guard to the throne are all women. This week was crazy with the trailers, and Jason dives into all of them in this weeks episode. Marvel Studios has showed off a small teaser for Avengers with some new footage to be seen. Lucasfilm finally gave us a good look at their newest Star Wars anthology film, Solo A Star Wars Story. Not to be outdone, 20th Century Fox showed off plenty of Cable in the new Deadpool 2 trailer. This week Jason is joined by Joe and they take you all the way back to 1998 to bring you the stories that made headlines 20 years ago. A straight to video sequel to Mask of the Phantasm called Sub Zero gave us an awesome Batman and Freeze story. Marvel gave us our first R rated super hero movie with Blade. Trigun graced our screens and introduced us to the funny yet serious Vash the Stampede. Over on HBO we were enjoying the second season of Spawn. Dark Horse Presents Annual 98 gave us one heck of Hellboy story in the Right Hand of Doom. While over at Marvel we got introduced to a more adult line of heroes with Marvel Knights. The countdown to Infinity begins this week in Marvel's Warlock one-shot comic. Stan Lee had some heart problems this week and had to be hospitalized. Rockstar's upcoming sequel to Red Dead Redemption finally has a firm release date of October 26th, 2018. On this episode Jason does his first throwback episode. We as nerds have so much to be excited about nowadays, but there was a time when that was not the case. The throwback episodes will take a look at a specific year and ask the question, what would we be talking about as nerds in a that year. This episode takes us all the way back to the year 2000. Jason examines the ultimate universe launch from Marvel Comics. He also talks about the start of the super hero film renaissance with X-Men. Continuing the Batman Beyond tv show was the straight to video release Batman Beyond Return of the Joker. This week Jason dives into the current stories from all around the nerd sphere. Captain Marvel set photos emerge showing us a more classic look for the costume. The debut of this film in 2019 can't get here soon enough. The remake strikes again. This time targeting the world of survival horror. Rumors have swirled for a while that to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Resident Evil a remake of the second game was forthcoming. It looks as if those rumors might be true. The classic game might be drastically different from what fans remember. In that regard, is it really a remake? DC Comics have been cycling back in classic things for a while now. Spoilers for Star Wars The Last Jedi Follow On this episode Jason's buddy Joe drops by and they review Star Wars Episode VIII The Last Jedi. Together they do some spoiling of the plot as well as rant about the people being negative. There was a time, not long ago, when Star Wars fans were excited about the possibility of new and different adventures set in the Star Wars universe. What happened to the time when we could look at the future with hope for stories without Luke, Han and Leia. All of the sudden the end of the old heroes stories means the movies suck. I know we here at entertain the geeky are not alone when we say the story of Rey, Finn and Poe is just as engaging as the stories of old. The naysayers seem upset because their heroes stories are over. If you ask Disney the story is just beginning.
