    25/10/2017 Duration: 09min

What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? – for the Lehigh Valley area in 2013 to generate excitement about manufacturing careers by giving students direct access to local manufacturers to find out why they love their jobs. Teams of middle school students are provided video equipment and training and are matched with manufacturing companies and teacher coaches. The teams created short video profiles of their companies and the career opportunities they offer. By improving the image of these careers and creating awareness for them, the contest not only aims to sustain manufacturing careers, but aims to help them thrive. The Lehigh Valley Student Video Contests have been so successful that other areas inside and outside of Pennsylvania are holding similar contests or are planning to hold contests. The Manufactures Resource Center, PBS39 and Sahl Communications, Inc, support these efforts by providing strategic counsel, film editing and coaching, and various public relations activities. This heap of memories can’t provide wisdom, or lessons, and certainly can’t provide a road map to the future.By creatively finding your Story, you develop a pathway from the painful parts, through courage and trials, to the more satisfying parts. Like all good stories, your memoir ends at a higher point than when it started. • Ep 005 - Living Your Story Through Leadership with Northampton County Executive John Brown

    05/10/2017 Duration: 09min

Key Trait #1: You must have a vision. We've all heard the saying "You must stand for something, or you'll fall for everything." But what does that really mean? Standing firm when it comes to your company's policies and procedures is all well and good, but it doesn't speak to having a vision. As a leader, you have to learn to communicate your vision or the vision of your company to the people you want to follow you. Key Trait #2: You must have passion. Your employees want passion; in fact, they'll go to the ends of earth because of it, live and die for it. Think of the sailors who traveled with Christopher Columbus or Leif Ericsson to explore uncharted territory. Their leaders' passion inspired them to take on new and very dangerous challenges. Key Trait #3: You must be a team builder. To become a great leader, you must develop a great team or, one might say, a well-oiled machine. But how do you do that? You can start by handing off responsibility to your team and letting your team to run with it. Don't breath
