Since then a lawsuit has been launched by a student and former employee of TMU against the university claiming $1.3 million in damages arguing TMU has become a "poisoned antisemitic learning and working environment." Last November Toronto law firm Diamond and Diamond initiated a class action lawsuit against Toronto Metropolitan University and its student union alleging both groups repeatedly have failed to address a "well-documented history of antisemitism on the TMU campus."
