06/09/2016 Duration: 11min1100+ downloads to date! Thank you all for the incredible support. It is definitely appreciated. I also have my first giveaway. The first person to comment on this post with your email, tell me what you like about the podcast, and I will mail the scanner to you (U.S. residents only please). It is a Socket 7Ci Scanner, it works just fine, but does have some cosmetic wear. See pics of the scanner on the blog for this particular post. I originally used it with Asellertool's FBAScan. Moving forward most of the music made on the podcast and vlog will be produced by myself. I've been toying with Isequence on the iPad. It's made by Beepstreet and works tremendously. I'm still learning how to use it. Another podcast change...episodes will be shorter. The maximum length being 20 minutes. Between a full time job and editing podcasts, episodes are taking longer to be published. I'd like to speed that up and get it out to you loyal listeners sooner rather than later. I apologize for the audio qua

Dating Time!
31/08/2016 Duration: 08minAfter a year and 8 months, I've decided to begin dating again. I'm missing intimacy in my life, and it would be nice to meet someone. Some days I'd love to be in a relationship, others I'm OK with being single. In this episode I ask if more of us should stay in the dating space rather than be in a relationship. People's needs and wants change over time, doesn't this make them want different people? Is it what has the divorce rate so high across the world? I also detail what I'm looking for in a person. Someone with similar interests and direction would be the dream scenario. Also someone into health and fitness as I spend a lot of my time focusing in those areas. No smokers, social drinkers are OK. Finally no rushing into things, which I've been guilty of doing so in the past. Would love to hear what your opinion, thoughts. Please comment on the blog. My Biggest Takeaways from the book 'Stop Chasing Influencers'
28/08/2016 Duration: 04minAdmittedly I've tried to seek out people to interview for this podcast/blog. Selfishly thinking that if I interviewed these people that would bring more subscribers and downloads. People in my eyes, who I considered influencers, role models. People whom have inspired me and continue to do so. They would agree to do the podcast, I offered to work around their schedule. After that they wouldn't either respond or have to reschedule without actually rescheduling. Listening to a recent podcast episode from Dave Jackson's School Of Podcasting (click here to hear the episode) and reading this book ('Stop Chasing Influencers' by Kimanzi Constable & Jared Easley) seems like serendipity. In the podcast, Dave talks about how we (podcasters) chase that elusive interview that we hope will bring us some major attention. In many cases, that unicorn interview doesn't have much of an effect on downloads at all. In his interview with Dave Hooper; they discuss Mr. Hooper's podcast style. He basically ta

My Biggest Takeaways from Mark Sanborn's 'The Fred Factor'
20/08/2016 Duration: 04minThis post does have affiliate links. The ‘Fred Factor’ by Mark Sanborn. With this book I realized, I enjoy the more personal self-improvement books and not really the ones pertaining to business. This book definitely plays to both, but more so on the business side of things. In listening to various entrepreneurial podcasts, two of the bigger points echoed across the board, build relationships and add value. This book tells you point by point on how to do that. These may seem like common sense, but I prefer it to be spelled out and these are my absolute biggest takeaways from reading the ‘Fred Factor’. This was another book that was in Evan Carmicheal’s Youtube video 7 Books Every Entrepreneur Must Read. Here are some golden nuggets from the book: ‘Fred is more likely living proof that there is another less observable competitor: the job we could have done. The truth is that we compete against our own potential every day. And most of us fall short of what we are capable of doing or being.’ pg

My interview with Amazon Reseller Jamison Philippi
16/08/2016 Duration: 20minThis post does have affiliate links. A long time mentor of mine in the reselling space. But in this episode we do not talk about reselling! Instead we discuss religion, dating, self improvement, and conspiracy theories. Things Jamison and myself discuss when we're not talking business. Jamison mentions Darren Hardy's 'The Compound Effect' as a book which he was currently listening to at the time. He gives a great example from the book on how 'The Compound Effect' can make positive changes in your life over time. When we begin talking about conspiracy theories, he brings up an interview done by Alex Jones, of Aaron Russo(click here to see the video). He says this particular video really changed his outlook on the world and what is good and what is evil. If you are a fan of Mr. Philippi's, check out this interview. Also check out his interview on the E-commerce Momentum podcast. Incredible stuff. Related: Interview with Josh Mendez ______________________________________________________ the bl

My Biggest Takeaways from James Altucher's book 'The Power of NO.'
03/08/2016 Duration: 06minThis post does have affiliate links. James Altucher and Claudia Azula Altucher's 'The Power Of No'. I am a fan of Mr. Altucher's podcast and his blog. He speaks in a very 'common-sense' way to me. I enjoy his stance on going to college and owning a home. Truth be told, I sometimes think my voice sounds like his voice when I'm recording my own podcast. Of all the books I've read so far, in this 'Biggest Takeaways' series, this one made me emotional at times and made me day dream the most. The parts especially when he discusses saying 'No' to situations that make you feel bad (even though we still willingly participate in these situations)and the 'Rebirth' exercise. The last chapter was my favorite. Specifically when they discussed reinventing yourself. These are a few of my biggest takeaways in this book. 'Being grateful is the bridge between the world of nightmares and the world where we are free to say no. It's the bridge between the world of delusions and the world of creativity. It's the p

Star Trek Beyond Movie Review with Spoilers.
25/07/2016 Duration: 09minThere are affiliate links in this post. Star Trek Beyond! Great movie with a weak villain. Incredible special effects, many classic sounds from the original series (transporter, communication devices, sounds from the bridge). The rotating camera work by Justin Lin was fun as well. I felt the main crew each got a lot of love in this film except Uhura, I felt she didn't have many lines. Neither the villain, which was Idris Elba. He was physically imposing, acted well, but didn't have much. Justin Lin did a fantastic job with this movie. I hope he returns to direct the next one. Saw this movie with a few of the boys and here are there final scores. David scored this movie and 8/10. Myself, Jason, Mike scored this movie a 7.5/10. Here more about our scores in this episode. Have you seen the movie? Do you agree/disagree with our review? Thanks for listening! Find out more about Start Trek here. Secret Life Of Pets Movie Review. Spoilers!
17/07/2016 Duration: 07minThis post does have affiliate links. The number #1 movie in the box office for the last two weekends (from the date this is published). From the creators of the Despicable Me series (Illumination Entertainment)comes the Secret Life of Pets. This was a very enjoyable film with a lot of heart and beautiful animation. There were some story beats and that weren't fully developed and were convenient at time but an overall fun movie. My overall score is 7/10. On this episode I have a special guest, Sonya. Her overall score is 6.5/10. We go a little more in depth in this episode. Give it a listen. Did you see Secret Life of Pets? What did you think? Here are some other movies by Illumination Entertainment. 1. Minions (2015) 2. Despicable Me (2010) 3. Despicable Me 2 (2013) 4. The Lorax (2012) 5. Hop (2011) Please comment on the blog. My Biggest Takeaways from Chris Lee's 'Transform Your Life'
12/07/2016 Duration: 06minThis post does have affiliate links. I devoured this book! This is bigger than the 'Go-Giver' book (where you can find my takeaway special for that book here), and I went through it so fast. What I mean by that, this is another fantastic book. The sub heading says '10 Principle of Abundance and Prosperity" and this is exactly what the book gives. It's what hooked me from the first chapter. Chris Lee's 'Transform Your Life'. I heard one of the many podcasts he's done with Lewis Howes on his 'School of Greatness' podcast (Click here to see the YouTube video), loved the interview, and instantly was sold on picking up this book. Chris Lee's website does have very minimal info on it, but it does include his Twitter and Facebook pages. These were my biggest takeaways from his book: This is part of a quote by Marianne Williamson right before the table of contents, 'Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness, t

Visualization. Inspired by Chris Lee's book 'Transform Your Life'
12/07/2016 Duration: 05minVisualization. This is the audio for my very first vlog for this show. You can see the vlog video here. In reading Chris Lee's book, his chapter on 'Visualization' very much inspired me. When it comes to attaining a thing, I've often had a very easy time visualizing myself using the thing. How I was going to use it, what for, when. When it comes to relationships or people I've had a tougher go of it. When it has come to someone I was very attracted to I would visualize the best of the best situations. I'd put the person on a pedestal, it would be a little ridiculous. It's tough to visualize my goals as well. They change often. The 5 year plan, the 10 year plan. It's tough to think that far ahead, but I know constant action in one thing for that period of time will produce results. I'm hoping visualization can help me in these two areas. Click here to check out Chris Lee's Transform Your Life book What are some examples of how you've used the practice of visualization in your life? Please

My Biggest Takeaways from Bob Burg's 'The Go-Giver'
08/07/2016 Duration: 06minThere are affiliate links in this post. I watched Evan Carmicheal's YouTube video called 7 Books Every Entrepreneur Must Read (click here to see the video). This was one of the books on his list. Bob Burg's and John David Mann's The Go-Giver. I really thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love when lessons are told through a story format. These are my biggest takeaways from this book, page numbers included. Joe drew a breath. "So', he spoke this next thought slowly, thinking it out loud, "you're saying, people don't take advantage of you because you don't expect them to? That because you don't put any focus on selfishness and greed, even when it's all around you, it doesn't have much impact on you?" Then he had a flash of inspiration. "Like a healthy immune system-the disease is all around you, but you don't catch it?' pg 14 "All things being equal-" Ernesto finished the phrase: '-people will do business with and refer business to those people they know, like and trust." pg 25 'Your life works the

My Biggest Takeaways from Rachel Jonat's 'Do Less' book. Minimalism.
05/07/2016 Duration: 07minThis post has affiliate links. I’m actually reading books now. Something I hadn’t done since high school. I heard Brian Tracy YouTube video saying ‘reading is exercising the brain’. That motivated me to begin reading more often. It began the summer of 2015 when I found Tony Robbins Unlimited Power book while I was out sourcing for items to resell on eBay and Amazon. I was around when he had those 30 minute infomercials during the 90s. Those sold me hook, line and sinker! I purchased his Awaken the Giant Within book around the time but never finished it. It took me about 6 months to finish the Unlimited Power book and it was fantastic. I’ve read about 4 books now (all small/slim books so far) and I’m currently reading the Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann. But before that I finished reading Rachel Jonat’s Do Less. A Minimalist Guide To a Simplified, Organized, Happy Life. These were my biggest takeaways from the book. Here are quotes from the book with page numbers. ‘The trut

My Interview of Renaissance Woman Hanna Herbertson
15/06/2016 Duration: 42minHanna Herbertson is a renaissance woman. Dancer, choreographer, DJ, video editor, to name a few of the hats she wears. She is also the only choreographer who has been teaching/holding dancehall classes in NYC, for almost a decade. Hear her story from her beginnings revolving around her adoption and her upbringing in Sweden, her influences in dance. Her travels, inspirations, struggles and wins she's had in her career so far. She discusses her group which consists of herself, Korie Genius (previous guest which you can listen/watch here) and History and how successful they've all been in their own right. Finally she discusses her future plans. This was a light hearted interview which I very much enjoyed. I've been taking her classes for some time, and I recommend anyone listening to do the same. You can follow Hanna on her Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/hannaherbertson/ Thoughts, comments, opinions. Please do so below. Thanks for watching/listening. Check out pvpfromnj.com for more.
