Episode#58  I did a search online for Tim Ferriss’ recommended books.   One of these books was ‘Vagabonding’ by Rolf Potts. I saw the original Beauty and the Beast on VHS while I was living in Washington Heights.   I was in my late teens.   I remember the movie bringing me to tears.   I’m a sap for romance.   I saw this movie with my friend Kathy.   I reviewed Fantastic Beasts and La La Land with her.   She is a super fan of Beauty and the Beast.   She knows the songs, has seen the show on Broadway.    Kathy owns an autographed t-shirt signed by the central cast of the play.   I was more excited by her enthusiasm to see the movie.   We anticipated and planned seeing the film late 2016. YouTube Red vs. Podcasts as a research tools, education or entertainment. Youtube Red offers a feature which allows you to to listen/watch videos offline. A wi-fi signal or cell service is not required after you download the YouTube content.   You can also watch/listen to the material with the screen off, in the background, similar to how one would like to music or a podcast on their device.   Youtube as a whole is one of the biggest search engines in the world.   I’m currently getting back into Kindle publishing and there is plenty of info on YouTube that is short and to the point on the topic.   Podcasts are great too. They tend to be longer and more in depth.   Often, content on YouTube is not available in podcast form.   I’m thinking people put out content on the platform as there is no monthly costs associated with doing so where with podcasting there is hosting, managing a website, etc.   I wish I would’ve signed up earlier to YTR.   I’m learning so much and videos are easily accessible.   Doesn’t mean

This is a mix tape. This won’t be for everybody. I love a number of musicals which have been released in the last 12 years or so. Netflix, as of late, has been releasing a few of my favorites which has had me reminiscing, singing the songs, out loud at home. Films such as Across the Universe, and especially Sweeney Todd.   This mix tape consists mostly of male performances. The ladies in the movies sing incredible numbers, but I don’t feel the guys get enough love. I feel the performance from the men is masculine and stoic. A far departure, I feel of how men are portrayed in so many of today’s films and tv shows as grown man children. I’m more determined to not give up.   This same time last year I would’ve given up.   The other night I went live on instagram, facebook, periscope, and youtube.   About 3 people showed up.   It was crickets.   But 3 people showed up!   The view count afterwards on facebook for the video, have jumped to close to 50+.   I don’t think it means full views, but it boosts my ego a bit.   Everyday I listen to self development/personal development material.   A point which continues to come up or the one of the many little nuggets I continually gravitate to, is to not give up.   Keep going.   Even when it seems no one is paying attention.   I did make mistakes the other night when I went live.   I said I would come on at 10 pm EST, I came on around 10:14 pm.   I also think I came on too late.   I may have had better results coming on at 8pm EST instead.   These days I’m all about experimenting and seeing what works and what doesn’t.   Experimenting has made me better at podcasting, blogging, reselling, kindle publis

At times I’ve been embarrassed to speak spanish.   I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for close to 18 years and at times haven’t spoken spanish to spanish speaking guests on purpose. Because I thought they would try to ask for more and make me work more. Looking back it’s a decision I have regretted.   Dominican people that I have met have been warm and caring for the most part. The food and music is fun and lively. The women are incredible looking. Yet I don’t identify myself with the dominican people or environment I’ve grown up in. I look at myself as a kind of black sheep in that circle. I identify myself as a combination. The product of my environment and today an amalgamation of my interests. I don’t listen to spanish radio. I like dancehall music. I’m not very familiar with merengue or bachata. Seems I have stereotypes of what being Dominican actually is. What is an american? What is a jamaican or a russian? There are affiliate links in this post. Is it me or does food and digestion just get in the way some time? I think the healthiest diet for me (right now)would be, juices (that I would juice myself), eggs, cheese, butter, nuts, salad. I’d get my vitamins, my salts, fats, roughage (to clean the pipes-meaning go to the bathroom) and I’d be good to go.   I would switch it up from time to time, but that’s it.
