Granato & Raheel With Del

To start the second hour, the trio discusses Carlos Correa addressing the injury rumors and comparing his relationship to the real power couple of Houston. The guys continue to discuss the news surrounding the Astros and baseball as a whole with the college world series heating up. The Warriors are winning with just a shell of themselves as players like Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Andre Iguodola are currently injured but they still hobbled themselves to a victory headed back to Oakland. The Toronto Raptors fans chanted MVP when President Obama made his appearance at the NBA Finals last night.  

The first hour begins with a recap of game two and Granato declares the series over while Del tells the two to hold their horses. Does Steph always receive a pass within the media whenever he gets off to a bad start? Anthony Joshua was using this past Saturday as a tune-up fight and ended up continuing the drake curse instead of breaking it as he prophesized. Who will be within the next fight: is it Wilder vs.  Ruiz or will there be a rematch with Joshua that’s coming first? The topic of discussion is the Hank Haney being removed from XM radio and John wrote an article about it. The guys discuss the embarrassment of riches of the Astros and how boring and accustomed to winning as a fan. 

John, Raheel, and Del kick off the second hour discussing defense in various NBA teams in reaction to the Toronto Raptors’ victory over the Golden State Warriors in last night’s NBA Finals game. The guys debate whether John could join Raheel’s community and dish out their weekly apologies. They take some apologies from viewers as well, including a caller who agrees with intern Mary’s argument from hour one that Kelly Barnhill crow hops every pitch. The men wrap up the hour with news of the weird, involving: the president of the Philippines, an Air Force exercise, and road rage. 

John, Raheel, and Del kick off the first hour debating with intern Mary about college softball and Florida pitcher Kelly Barnhill’s illegal pitching. The guys discuss whether you should tell someone if they have something on their shirt… or in their nose. They talk Mike D’Antoni contract “negotiations” and how to make James Harden happy. The men wrap up the hour with more NBA talk and controversy surrounding local poker clubs. 

The Bench starts out this hour interviewing super fan of the Toronto Raptors “Nav Bathia”.  They talk with Nav Bathia about his opinions on the Raptor postseason success. The guys continue their discussion about Canada. The guys have a humorous Throw Some Make Some Shade Thursday. They finish the show with “The News of the weird” story talking about Spanish soccer team having racial slurs on their jerseys.

The guys recap the hour talking about the Correa injury, how he broke a rib during an at home deep tissue massage. They transition to the NBA Finals. Lance wants the Raptors to win in 7 but doesn’t think they out-execute the Warriors. They ended the last hour interviewing Nav Bathia, the Superfan from Toronto. 

Raheel, Del and Tyler kick off the second hour of the show with a discussion about interns and internships after the late night interns at the station refused to clean up after themselves. In typical Wednesday fashion, the guys feature “What’s Wrong with You Wednesday?” They wrap up the hour discussing the Rockets.

Lance, Raheel and Del begin the first hour of the show with and interesting discussion about guns and silencers. They follow up with a chat about soccer managers. Lance goes off on a tangent about his college life and previous internships. They wrap up the hour talking football and the NFL London games and Rockets’ front office drama.

Raheel starts the 2nd hour talking to Abby Jackson about her viral graduation video. Texans OTA recap.

The guys start the hour recapping their interview with the Colts GM Chris Ballard. They transition into Hollywood etiquette with Eric Ladin. Eric gives the guys the lowdown on the industry. 

John, Del and Jose discuss the new NFL quarterback class going into the upcoming season. They next spark up a conversation about the best HBO character of all time. The group goes through the “Apologies” segment after the half hour break. They wrap up the show with The News of the Weird.

John, Del and Lance kick off the first hour by slandering Raheel for not being present for Friday’s show. They talk about an NFL 40-yard dash competition including the likes of Alvin Kamara, Ted Ginn and more. Next, they discuss if Kawhi Leonard is the best player in basketball right now and what other players contend with him for the top spot. They also discuss the beer chugging competition in Milwaukee between Aaron Rodgers, David Bahktiari and Christian Yelich. They wrap up the hour talking about the status of the Rockets.

The second hour starts with John, Raheel and Del debating who should make first team All-NBA. They move on to AFC teams and what teams should do in the offseason. It’s Throw Some Make Some Shade Thursday and callers throw some shade. News of the Weird closes out the show. 

The guys talk about Cole’s bad outing last night and if it’s a coincidence or a trend. They transition into the NFL’s new challenge rule. Raheel talks about his experience throwing axes at Ratchet Hatchet. They wrap up the hour with some talk about college QBs.

John, Raheel, and Del kick off the second hour with the James Harden vs. Steph Curry debate. Raheel starts a new segment, called “Compare and Contrast”, where the men compare and contrast their life experiences growing up. This week, they talk about prom. The guys talk to long-time fan Gilbert about religion, past interns, and his favorite broadcaster. They wrap up the hour with news of the weird, including a Virginia Uber driver and Illinois politics. 

John, Lance, and Del are joined by Raheel and kick off the first hour questioning which team embodies the spirit of Houston, and if a high school quarterback from California would come to play in Texas. The guys discuss the pros and cons of young American baseball players signing with Japanese baseball leagues before trying to play in the United States. They debate about paying big money for a player who will likely be a backup. The men wrap up the hour with a discussion about the best player in basketball. 

John starts the second hour talking about the Astros, how pitcher Brad Peacock pitches another shutout. Zeke Elliot gets in trouble in Las Vegas after altercations with a security staff member at a music festival. Rueben Foster tears ACL, three plays into OTAs. Ben Roethlisberger apologizes to Antonio Brown and Brown tweets “two faced”. The guys wrap up the hour with another great “John vs. Genius” segment as he raps to “Waka Flocka ft Ciara - Hard in da paint”. 

The guys started the hour on how Golden State makes another great comeback to sweep the Blazers to win the Western Conference Finals. Lance thinks it was more Portland blowing the game than the Warriors making a comeback. Del asks the guys to debate if they would rather have Eric Gordon or Jadeveon Clowney next season.
