(SE02/EP02) Today we're in the studio with Jared Herzog from the Someone You Should Know Podcast. We're going to try and figure out what makes him tick, what he thinks about the paranormal, and his thoughts on the field of paranormal investigation. Jared is a producer, musician, confessed history nerd, and a rabid enthusiast of all things paranormal. In 2017 he began filming a documentary about paranormal investigators and their beliefs and we spend a great deal of time discussing his ongoing project. We also play him some clips from our not yet released Yoakum Hospital episode and get his reactions to what we found.

What are the commonalities between the kinds of people who pull off these elaborate schemes, what are their motivations, and why do we care? Can knowledge behind the motivations of a paranormal hoax help us understand legitimate paranormal cases?

We break down the differences between actual Satanism vs. Occultism, the reality of practices, and the hysteria that went with it. We also talk about how radical ideas about cults have bled into current times and what we can do to stop the insanity. 

(SE:01/EP:47) After working a rather interesting residential investigation we discover some unsavory practices by some of the other local "ghost hunters" which send us on an epic ethics adventure. We talk about the case itself and call out a local Texas investigator who puts a bad taste in our mouth.

Emilio and Carlos Garcia are the Pair-a-Normal Brothers Paranormal Investigation team and they have caught some interesting things that have left us scratching our heads.
