Our full compliment of Defenders returned to chat about our top moments from Daredevil Shadows in the Glass Episode 8 of the Netflix TV series in the thirteenth episode of Defenders TV Podcast. We discuss the secret origins of Wilson Fisk, his motivations (and his cuff links), as a troubled childhood and a brutal one-off action starts him along the path to his position we see today. This is set amongst increasing pressure from all the crime syndicate members Nobu (Peter Shinkoda), Leland Owlsley (Bob Gunton) and Madame Gau (Wai Ching Ho) who are displeased with the interference of the masked vigilante in to their criminal affairs. In particular, Madame Gau who turns up a Fisk's door to offer him caution and also allows us a glimpse in to her intriguing character. As these pressures begin to take their toll on Fisk his friend Wesley (Toby Leonard Moore) and partner Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer) rally to support and to offer advice that leads to Wilson Fisk moving from the shadows and in to the light. Two Defenders, John and Derek, chat about our top moments from Daredevil Stick Episode 7 of the Netflix TV series in the eleventh episode of Defenders TV Podcast. This time we are introduced to the trainer of Daredevil Stick (Scott Glenn) as he teaches young Matt Murdock (Skylar Gaertner) about his abilities and why he should be happy with his lot in life. Stick returns to Hell's Kitchen to recruit his weapon, a now fully grown Matt, to his cause against a new threat and foe that is being imported in to New York by the Japanese from the Far East. However, the relationship between Stick and Matt is still as uncompromising and obstinate as ever as both men clash on how to deploy their skills against this new foe. Ben Urich and Karen Page continue their research in to Union Allied construction as they investigate possible links to the Hells Kitchen tenement dispute with Mr Tully. Claire (Rosario Dawson) cautions Matt (Charlie Cox) about the life he leads and the danger he's putting himself in while Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) reveals himself to art-dealer Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer) as a man who is trying to save Hell's Kitchen from the city it's becoming, by any means. Fisk also shows his true power by delivering the D.D.D. to a compatriot that embarrassed him. We discuss the third episode of Daredevil Rabbit In A Snow Storm in full spoiler filled detail. This episode was written by Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy, Orange Is The New Black) and directed by Adam Kane (Heroes, Mad Men). After a brawl breaks out in a Hell's Kitchen bowling alley leaving one bowler dead, the law firm of Nelson and Murdock are sought out by Wesley Welsh (Toby Leonard Moore) to protect the accused from prosecution. After an interview with their potential client, John Healy (played by Alex Morf), Foggy Nelson (Eldon Henson) begins to question the path and morality of their law firm. Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) convinces him that they are doing the right thing in getting  Healy off the charges. In our first courtroom scene we get to see Matt use all of his heightened senses and show off his skills as a legal Defender. In this episode also written by Drew Goddard (Cloverfield, The Cabin in the woods) and directed by Phil Abraham (Orange Is The New Black, Mad Men) Matt is injured while in hot pursuit of a gang of kidnappers who force him to seek the help of a trained professional. We are introduced to Clare (Rosario Dawson) a nurse on her night off from the emergency room who treats Matt Murdock's external wounds and uncovers some internal wounds leading back to his father.  Meanwhile Karen Page (Deborah Ann-Woll) seeks comfort from her new co-worker Foggy Nelson (Eldon Henson) with a night out on the town. Daredevil Cut Man also includes a jaw dropping one-take fight scene that has to be seen to be believed. We are highly impressed with the fight choreography in this episode. In this episode written by Drew Goddard (Cloverfield, The Cabin in the woods) and directed by Phil Abraham (Orange Is The New Black, Mad Men) we discover the reason why young lawyer Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) dedicates his life to justice for the streets of Hell's Kitchen New York. As a young woman, Karen Page (Deborah-Ann Woll) is accused of a crime she didn't commit the fledgling law firm of Murdock & Nelson comes to her defence. In the shadows a construction firm is taking advantage of incentives to rebuild New York after the devastation caused by the Chituari two years previous. The second Netflix Daredevil trailer was released this week, starring Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll and Vincent D’Onofrino and we, of course, couldn't resist the opportunity to sit down and share our thoughts on the second Daredevil trailer. The trailer provides a fantastic introduction and insight in to the world of Hells Kitchen New York from the perspective of Wilson Fisk and it is great. The lines of good and evil,  and right from wrong between Fisk and Daredevil are brilliantly blurred and cloudy. We also get to see our first glimpse of Wilson Fisk's right-hand Man Wesley Welch (Toby Leonard Moore) who has a nice little speech to Fisk's henchmen that references Iron Man and Thor. The relationship of the Ninja mentor Stick, played by Scott Glenn, is developed further as we see him training the young Matt Murdoch after his accident which is also shown in this second Daredevil trailer. With the 13 episode Netflix Daredevil series starring Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, Deborah-Ann Wall, Elden Hensen and Rosario Dawson soon to be upon us we return, a bit later than anticipated,  and take the opportunity to sit down for our Daredevil 2003 Movie Review. In our Daredevil 2003 Movie Review we discuss the important additional scenes of the extended cut of the Daredevil movie versus the theatrical release; and also spot some tense interviews with the producers and directors about the different movie edits in the Blu-Ray extras. The great performance of the late Michael Clarke Duncan cast as Wilson Fisk (aka The Kingpin) is highlighted as a standout and comparisons are made with Vincent D'Onofrio, one member of the podcast has a lot of trouble pronouncing his name...it's "Don...Of...Rio", it's like "DON...OFF...RIO" like the city Rio de Janeiro! We also revel in the manic zaniness brought to the film by Colin Farrel as Bullseye, who uses his natural Irish accent for the first time in a Hollywood

We sat down to share our thoughts on the Daredevil teaser trailer from the great soundscapes and visuals to represent Matt Murdock's heightened senses to some great action sequences the trailer was very fast paced and atmospheric. We were introduced to  Matt Murdock's Ninja mentor Stick, played by Scott Glenn, and another possible bad guy is shown to be active in Hells Kitchen in the shape of Leland "The Owl" Owlsley (Bob Gunton).
