She is a world authority on the kodaly method of teaching music and has worked for 50 years to adapt it to the North American context in the classrooms and Universities of North America. Hi Lois. Hi Mara how are you? I'm alright and you? Just fine. Lois let's start tell us about your background. Well I started music from the time I was a child and I think I wanted to be a music teacher most of my life and began teaching in the school when I was only 19. I finished my degree at night so that I could teach during the day on an emergency war certificate...as they called it.
