Instinctively, the Selador community rose to the challenge, none more so than Kiz Pattison & Micah, whose collaborative debut was a massive breakout tune from our Tenth Chapter showcase EP. As DJ streams and dancing on impromptu dancefloors at home became the norm, Beam of Light became a regular feature in many a lockdown soundtrack, a major tune for the likes of Sasha, Anthony Pappa and of course our own directorship, Seaman & Parry. So with the vaccines arolling, club and festival dates being firmed up in our diaries and that beam of light seemingly growing brighter by the day, what better way to celebrate than with a top drawer remix package? Such was his passion, he actually chose music over a highly promising career as a Formula 1 driver and F1’s loss proved clubland’s gain as Jaime has blossomed into a highly sought-after producer with releases across labels such as Mobilee, Einmusika and Get Physical. In pole position here, ’True Religion’ leads from the front showcasing Squire’s trademark sound: Deep, hook-laden synth riffs and indie vocal stylings riding a growling bassline, menacing and uplifting in equal measure, entirely befitting of this most welcome of Selador debuts.   Also gracing the label for the first time, we are delighted to welcome Hannes Bieger aboard. Of course, Messrs Seaman & Parry always have ears and eyes permanently open for forward thinking new music, be it on their DJ travels or during a pandemic – and this single is proof that we are a label that does listen to demos. Be it via email, Whats App or Messenger, the Selador is never closed. Carlos has been building himself quite a reputation in Central America, sharing club and festival stages with the likes of Re.You, Anja Schneider, Oliver Koletzki whilst Enes runs the Dawgs Musik company in Istanbul for events and podcasts, and has played alongside the likes of James Zabiela, Timo Maas – and Dave Seaman.
