Today is March 5, and on this day 12 years ago I gave birth to my daughter Goldie who lived and died in my arms -- 40 minutes of pure terror and heaven wrapped up in a little 5lb 10oz bundle of love and pain. As the Epstein files were released and the coverup culture in the church is being revealed, emotions are high.  Natural emotions like anger, rage, a desire for justice, sadness are normal, but how do we manage these emotions and pray while we're holding them in our bodies? In this episode we dive into the biblical ways our prayers might get blocked from being answered, how we can remove the blockages, and pray prayers that bring justice to earth in the face of deep betrayal and abuse.    

With so much corruption coming into the light, emotions are high.  But as we process our disappointment, grief, anger, coming to terms with leaders and idols falling -- what is our heart posture, and where is Jesus in it all?

When I walked away from Jesus, there were very preventable things Jesus outlined that I wasn't practicing to preserve the connection he paid for with his blood  I wasn't reading His word and meditating on the scriptures to renew my mind with the mind of Christ.  I wasn't praying daily out of devotion to preserve and deepen my connection. I wasn't looking at Jesus's model of deliverance and being delievered from demonic oppression in my life.   I felt guilty when I couldn't get out of sin cycles -- that God was disappointed in me because I was disappointed in myself. But what if someone had discipled me early on, showing me what it meant to walk with Jesus at an intimate level? What if I realized that my relationship with Jesus was a relational process of transformation and not a perfection I needed to obtain?   In this week's podcast, we go into the things I wish I had known when all hell broke loose after I got saved.  And that nothing was WRONG. Two years ago when the money was out and the marriage I had fought endlessly for was over, nothing seemed good about it.  But 2.5 years later, remarried, restored, thriving and back in my destiny, hindset allows me to see the goodness of God inside all of it.   When the goodness of God is in question, we keep our victim mindset of the situation we're in, instead of seeing how God might be weaving goodness out of something we have judged as 'bad.' The goodness of God can never come on trial in the life of a beliver. For many years I believed if trials were happening in my life I was doing something wrong.  In the New Age, I thought I needed to do more shadow work and clear my energy.
