We all have this one thing in common. It’s apart of everyones life, and it can affect us all. Both the new believer and the seasoned follower of Jesus. It can creep into our minds in the most unfortunate times cause our perspective to be hindered. It is our Past. In this sermon Pastor Mike unpacks how we must surrender our past to prepare for what God wants to through our lives in the present.

The only person that can keep you from the presence of God is YOU. The greatest hinderances that we are facing are not what is around us or even happening to us, but what is within us. So the enemies tactics are to use you against you. To blame you, lie about you, trick you, and attack you, and to keep you distracted. In this sermon Pastor Mike uncovers some of the tactics of the enemy so that you can overcome his schemes and move forward with your relationship with Christ.

Entitlement culture teaches that we deserve to have things given to us and that we should have special privileges. Those enmeshed in entitlement culture believe strongly that the whole world revolves around their perceived rights, needs, and wants. Its rallying cries are “my way,” “my rights,” and what “I deserve.” In this message Pastor Mike uncovers how this entitlement actually hinders us from having a life changing encounter with the Holy Spirit.

Rest isn’t just about gaining our strength, or practicing solitude, but it is most importantly about developing greater trust. By allowing ourselves to rest, we demonstrate and practice the belief that God will provide for the details of our lives, and we don’t have to strive in every waking moment. The way that the emery steals our rest is through his tactic to breakdown our beliefs. Listen in and be encouraged.

Often times in life we tend to focus more on our behaviors than our beliefs. It's all backwards because to truly change how you behave you must first change what you believe.
