This has just been something that has been on my heart recently and I wanted to share my thoughts with the world.

Sometimes you meet people in life who genuinely intrigue you, and those individuals have such a fascinating story to tell that you can't wait to hear it. The person that was on this week's podcast is one of those individuals, and that is Shayne Adams. Shayne's life has been somewhat tumultuous from his upbringing and his family life, to a motorcycle crash that has changed the whole course of his life. This week I was fortunate enough to speak with Jay Boren about his life and was able to unearth a lot of fascinating things about him. He shared his thoughts on the Superbowl half time show, his views on marriage and relationships. He even shared his upbringing and what actually brought him to where he is now and the drive that he has always had to achieve something more. This is the first episode we ever recorded. It was before there was a Barely Qualified and the show was called Ph.D. Radio. We aren't doctors, but the first few letters of our names would make up (PH)ilip and (D)eshani. It was recorded in 2015 when we bought our first microphone and just wanted to make a podcast. Sometimes you are fortunate enough to get a whole perspective on life, religion, child development, and so much more. When you have that moment, they are rarely recorded, and you are unable able to revisit them. Fortunately, we have the technology, and such a perspective was captured by my friend Jacob Pierce. Jacob has a unique perspective on life, his spirituality and his general outlook on how he treats people on a day to day basis. Upbringing is what shapes children into who they are going to become. Lo-Fi hip hop guru, excellent guitar player, and all-around genuine gentleman Dalton Wright was on the episode this week. Dalton shares his insight into his creative process when writing music and some of the struggles he went through when he first began going down this path creatively. The Electronic Entertainment Expo!!! Was it exciting? Did they do enough to keep gamers intrigued? Do you have no idea what I am talking about? E3 had a very lackluster showing this year. There is so much potential to blow the industry and gamers away with announcements and reveals, but overall it just left a sour taste in our mouths. It seems the industry as a whole is gearing up for the next generation of consoles, and this is why 2019 has felt like such a "meh" year. If there has ever been a moment in your life where you worked hard on something, like writing a beautiful poem, wrapping a present that was very difficult to wrap, or baking something that took hours to prepare, only to have that destroyed by forces outside of your control, then you will be well prepared for this half episode. This most recent episode of the show is only thirty minutes long. Now while some of you rejoice in how short this is, it was not meant intentionally. The file was corrupted while it was saving to the computer. So a very heartfelt, and an eye-opening episode was mitigated down to a few minutes.
