Liz Laird is the Executive Director of Sacred Spaces Conservancy, a DC-based organization that partners with local communities to keep religious congregations from disappearing. As buildings of worship continue to disappear from the city’s landscape, being converted to condos or other non-public spaces, Sacred Spaces works to find collaborative solutions to maintain and preserve these vital neighborhood institutions.

Richard Wagner was a member of a Baptist church in the Western suburbs of Chicago that effectively dissolved due to being oppressively mismanaged by a new pastor who seemed to deliberately drive away the bulk of their congregation. Under this pastor’s leadership, many members left or lost their positions within the church, ministries were shut down, worship services ceased, and church assets were dissipated. After the majority of the members were driven away by the new pastor, and only he and a few friends and family were left, the church building was sold and the funds diverted for the support of the pastor, but not the congregation itself which was gone. Richard was an active member of the church since its formation, serving in many roles. He was also instrumental in seeking legal action to rectify the situation.

Kevin Grillot is the Executive Director of WeDignify, a college mentorship program with a mission to grow students into pro-life leaders. The vision of WeDignify is to foster a culture of love on college campuses where new life is welcomed with joy, and people suffering from abortion can be led towards healing and hope.

Joe Roznai is a Certified Public Accountant and partner at MichaelSilver, a firm that provides accounting and assurance, as well as tax consulting and compliance. Joe has over 25 years of federal, state, and local tax planning, consulting, and compliance experience, working with entrepreneurial businesses across a wide range of industries. He is also very active in his local community and involved in various not-for-profit organizations.

Dr. Hugh Ross is an astrophysicist, apologist, author, and President and Founder of Reasons to Believe, an organization dedicated to integrating scientific fact with Biblical faith. Dr. Ross is passionate about equipping followers of Jesus to engage, rather than withdraw from or attack, educated non-Christians. His most recent book is Always Be Ready: A Call to Adventurous Faith, which uses personal stories to share the thrills and challenges of sharing your faith.

Chuck Legvold is the pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Aurora, Illinois, a church that exists to lead people into intimate relationships with Jesus, his family, and community. Westminster Presbyterian Church is also a member of ECO, and a Mauck & Baker client who we helped navigate through a denominational church split.

Scott Phelps is the Executive Director of Abstinence and Marriage Education Partnership, an organization that aims to educate teenagers in public and private schools that sexual activity is best reserved for marriage. Scott’s career is dedicated to helping today’s youth resist negative pressure and make good decisions for their lives by communicating the benefits of abstinence through clearly reasoned, positive presentations. A&M Partnership has trained more than 4,000 educators, and approximately 2 million students nationwide.

Doug Morrow is the Executive Director of Baptist Foundation of Illinois, an organization that exists to help individuals, churches, associations, and institutions meet their charitable and financial goals. Their mission is to encourage believers to respond both individually and corporately to God’s call of stewardship upon their lives.

Bob Trierweiler is the Director of Faith and Law Around the Globe, or FLAG, an international initiative designed to mobilize lawyers around the world to be effective witnesses for Christ. Additionally, he serves as Senior Legal Counsel and Director of Legal Ministries in the General Counsel’s Office for Cru, also known as Campus Crusade for Christ internationally.

Greg Gunderson is the Founder and President of Select Church Insurance Services Inc., an agency that provides coverage for churches and their ministries, allowing their customers to be at peace about unforeseen circumstances. Prior to founding Select, Greg sold insurance to small businesses and contractors, but he particularly enjoyed his time with churches, which he now solely works with.

Louis Dooley is the Illinois regional director of Set Free Ministries, an organization that serves inmates in prisons and jails in Missouri and Illinois by teaching them God’s Word. Louis is also the author of Prison Saved My Life – I Recommend it for Everyone, a moving book about his struggles with the law, coming to faith in prison, and new life of ministry for Jesus as a free man.

Roy Stiff has been working for Cru for over 40 years. He is currently the Eastern Europe representative for the Global Church Movements ministry of Cru, which is still known as Campus Crusade for Christ or “New Life” internationally. Teams with Global Church Movements act as advisors to help existing churches plant new house churches with the goal to grow exponentially. In the past, Roy was an undercover missionary and National Director for Cru in communist Poland. Soon after the fall of the Berlin Wall he and his family moved to Russia where he continued to minister and serve Cru as the National Director of New Life Russia for several years.

Patrick McCaskey is the Chicago Bears Vice President and Chairman of Sports Faith International, a non-profit Chicago-based initiative dedicated to inspiring and transforming culture through sports. Pat is also an author who has written a series of books and will be speaking at this year’s March for life Chicago on January 13th.

Mike Donnelly is Senior Counsel and Global Outreach Director for the Home School Legal Defense Association, an organization that defends the liberty of families who choose to homeschool. HSLDA’s primary goal is to bring together homeschooling families so that each can have a low-cost method of obtaining quality legal defense. Today, HSLDA gives tens of thousands of families the freedom to homeschool without having to face legal threats alone.

Brent McBurney is the President and CEO of Advocates International, a worldwide fellowship of advocates bearing witness of Jesus Christ through the legal profession with the mission to promote justice, rule of law, religious freedom, reconciliation, and integrity. In the past, Brent served the Body of Christ through the Christian Legal Society where he was Director of Legal Aid Ministries, Director of Attorney Ministries, and Editor-in-Chief of The Christian Lawyer magazine.

Kileen Albright is a junior in college studying nursing at Loyola University Chicago and has been involved in WeDignify, a pro-life mentorship program, since freshman year. She became a leader in the pro-life movement her sophomore year as her Chapter's activism chair and is currently President of her campus' WeDignify chapter. This semester she organized and spoke at the “Why I am Pro-life Panel” where students shared why they choose to be actively pro-life life with their peers.

Malissa Mackey is the Director of Faith & Work Chicago, a ministry of Holy Trinity Church that aims to equip believers to live out their faith through their daily work, ultimately transforming communities and industries alike for God’s glory.

Kevin Grillot is the Vice President of the March for Life Chicago and Executive Director of WeDignify, a mentorship program with a mission to grow college students into pro-life leaders. The March for Life Chicago is a yearly gathering of pro-life organizations, leaders, and advocates whose goal is to change perceptions in a society that thinks abortion is the answer. The March serves as a visual and vocal reminder that life in every stage matters.

Julian Reid is a member of the band “The JuJu Exchange,” a musical partnership of four childhood friends who use past experiences to create music that draws influence from hip-hop, jazz, classical, and pop. Their songs give the sense of looking to the future while dealing with the problems of the present. Julian currently attends Candler School of Theology at Emory University and is in the Master of Divinity program with a concentration in Theology and Arts.

Eric Thurman is the author of Thrive in Retirement, a book about how to age gracefully and have a meaningful life after retirement. In the past, Eric was a journalist with CBS, owned a television production company, planted churches and other ministry organizations, and led efforts to fight poverty as CEO of Hope International and Opportunity International. In his own retirement, Eric Thurman has now focused his attention on helping adults over 50 who are looking for direction.
