  • The Rant and Rave Show

    16/06/2015 Duration: 01h50s

This show is our rant and rave edition. Not only has there been so much in the news lately that has caused people to rant all over the place; but it has also invited quite a few negative comments. From Rachel Dolezal and the NAACP to Caitlyn Jenner and the ESPY Awards...we hit 'em all. We address these issues as well as bring to light the way they connect and how some Facebook rantes fail to realize how their ranting can evolve into hatred. We all must be very careful not to create a situation that invites hatred and ignorance. And if we do, then we must stand and educate those who exhibit those attitudes. We also take time to recognize those who exhibit positivity and enlightened thinking. Jennifer Hudson's new song, "I Still Love You" is such a positive statement about families coming to terms with their LGBT children and same-sex marriage. We also talk about a family that is providing a home for those LGBT children that have been disowned by their biological families. We hope you enjoy this show.  There is

  • Mythbusters II

    19/05/2015 Duration: 52min

Hey Fam, This show kind of continues where the last one left off. There are so many myths out there about the LGBTQ community and we know that they are false. We are digging them up and exposing them for the lies that they are. We hope that you gain information from this and when you hear things that don't sound right, do your research. It all comes out in the wash. We also somehow took a turn into political waters. We all need to understand how important all votes are. Remember you can't complain if you don't vote. We hope that you enjoy the show. Let us know! SS

  • Mythbusters

    12/05/2015 Duration: 44min

M.T. is busting myths listeners! Yes, she has done the research and added her experience to help those struggling with their sexuality and Christianity. We want our listeners to understand what sin is and how we've been beaten down to believe that by simply being who we are, we are sinners. It is our desire that you go to the Source,  get an understanding of what sin is and where homosexuality fits within the moral codes. This show is presented to give you the power to protect yourself against those who would use religion to try and destroy your sense of self. We want to help you to realize who you are is not a sin - it is just who you are. She also discusses the effects of bullying from the pulpit. We have both been victims and know how it can make you feel. Please take time to listen and we hope you enjoy the show. SS Free music provided by: http://www.jewelbeat.com/ Disclaimer: There is some sexual language in this show.

  • When Did It Become Okay?

    23/04/2015 Duration: 51min

Hi Fam, This weeks show is about how some things have become acceptable that kind of grind our gears as Peter Griffin would say. We let go on politics, education, and people in general. I do want to forewarn you that I gave Marco Rubio a different name: Mario. It was just a brain fart but it's there. We speak about the lack of respect that seems pervasive in our country today. Not only for others but ourselves as well. There seems, for some, to be a sense of hopelessness and they carry themselves as such. However, do not miss the end as M.T. shares a story about her grandmother. It is hilarious. I do want to take this time to thank each of you for listening to us rant & ramble. We are enjoying every minute. We hope you enjoy the show. As M.T. sould say..."Be light and be love." SS Music provided by: http://www.jewelbeat.com/free/free-background-music.htm

  • The Bedroom Police

    07/04/2015 Duration: 43min

Hey Fam, Another fun show with a topic of which we as a community need to be aware. The bedroom police is a reality in that there are people who want to police what consenting grown folks are doing in their bedrooms. It may seem far-fetched but we present an example of just that. We hope that you will take this topic seriously and vote for those who represent your best interests. If we continue to sit back then we will be victims of our own laziness. Do not wait for someone else to make the difference. It is up to each if us individually. Hope you like the show. SS Music provided by: C-Nut Song:Babygurl

  • You Get the Middle Finger

    24/03/2015 Duration: 47min

OK..so I have been very annoyed at some people lately and it came to me that I could relieve my annoyance in a very simple manner. I mean the audacity of these people. They think that they can do whatever and say whatever and it's ok! I think not! How many people have been flipped off on the highway? Well, I can't very well give the literal middle finger to these folks. However, we did it our way. We discuss religous figures, spoiled brats and others. We had a lot of fun doing this show and hopefully you will enjoy it as well. SS Music provided by C-Nut

  • It's Fluid Ya'll

    18/03/2015 Duration: 47min

This episode is about being who we are despite the outright lies that are being spread by "educated" folks. Life is fluid...always moving. Unfortunately, for some, they would prefer it to remain stagnant. The most important thing to take from this show is to know who you are. Just because someone has M.D. or some other initials behind their name does not make them more knowledgeable about who we are as individuals. With that being said, I hope you enjoy the show. • Raggedy Chicks

    02/03/2015 Duration: 54min

This show was based on M.T.'s observation that we had been going a little on the heavy side lately. She felt that it was time to lighten things up so the Raggedy Chick show was born. We discuss her dealings with some raggedy chicks as well as one of Spiritual Studds (who had a few meltdowns from the memories). Not only is it one of thefunniest shows but it also makes you think. At the end of the show, Spiritual Studd offers red flags that we all need to be aware of when dating. We hope that you enjoy the show as much as we did recording it. Remember that you are loved and we appreciate you listening. SS

  • Crazy People

    10/02/2015 Duration: 50min

Hello Fam, Yes, this show is called crazy people because the people we discuss are, well. crazy. Not all of them are. Because we begin the show discussing Leelah Alcorn, who was the  transgendered young lady who took her life because she could not see a way out of the hell in which she was living. The crazy comes in when we discuss the pastor who wanted a baker in Colorado to bake cakes shaped like bibles decorated with God hates gays and 2 men holding hands with a big 'x' over them. He filed a discrimination complaint against her because she refused to decorate the cakes the way he requested. We also discuss some other pastors and politicians. I do want to let you know that we did record 2 weeks ago but my new neighbors are fans of playing their music extremely loud. I did ask them to lower it, but the mic picked it up anyway and I did not want feel that the quality was good enough to post with that loud music playing in the background. Never fear, we were able to recoed in a nice quiet environment last week

  • You're Ok...I'm Ok

    25/01/2015 Duration: 53min

Of course, this show is filled with controversial issues. We start the show with the television show, "My Husband is Not Gay." You will hear what we think about the atttude that this show my foster among those out there who will say that they knew being gay was a choice. M.T. did some preaching on the subject. Question: Are we guilty of trying to make others comfortable? Did the guys on the show get married so that others would be comfortable or so that they would be comfortable with themselves?       This opens a discussion about our fear of sexuality. Why is it so hard to have a dialogue about sex? Repressed? They want to close the door again and are finding it hard to do so. Homosexuality is viewed by so many through the lens of sex instead of the whole person.       It's time to render fear powerless. God does not let us walk alone. However, we tend to leave one another alone. We spoke about Leelah Alcorn, the young transgendered woman who killed herself. We have to remember that we are not alone, but m

  • Racism, Ferguson & All the Rest

    31/12/2014 Duration: 01h03min

Well, you know we couldn't not address all that has been going on lately. Unfortunately, there is a lapse between the recording and actual posting of this episode. I have a new work schedule and my body is taking it's time adjusting so everything is moving at a snail's pace around here. Anyway, yes, we discuss Ferguson but we also discuss the lack of respect for authority that some young people have. This is an issue in the straight & LGBTQ communities. There are some things that we say that may strike a nerve, but remember there is more than one way to look at things. We hope you enjoy this show. Thanks to all who are listening and again I apologize for the lateness of the posting. Please send prayers...positive vibes...as I am about to go hit the pillow after posting this. • It's All About the Source

    03/12/2014 Duration: 43min

Welcome back Fam! In this show, we discuss Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt's attempt to fight to maintain the state's ban on same-sex marriage. It was just reported that the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals refused to hear Kansas' case. Yay! We also discuss our relationship with God - the Source - and all that it means. We break down Sodom & Gomorrah and the use of the word "homosexuality" in the bible. You know with us, there's lots more that we talk about. So hold on and take this ride with us. I hope that you took some time to look up musician Kim Joyce. I am featuring another song by her...well, not the whole song. The title is "Single" and I hope you like what you hear. M.T. & I want to thank you for listening. We really appreciate it and we love you all! SS

  • M.T's Back & Artist Spotlight

    09/11/2014 Duration: 40min

Yes Fam...M.T. is back! We began our conversation with what our show ended with last week...Mr. Fred Phelps. After reading more of Mark Phelp's blog, I couldn't help but be disturbed by the abuse suffered by the children. It's something that should be read in order to get an understanding of the tortured souls that thrive on torturing others. Of course, once M.T. and I get going, you know we talk about so much more. I am introducing a new segment to our show called the Artist Spotlight. Our first artist is Kim Joyce. We were both introduced to her music a little while ago. She is an impressive lyricst and has a killer voice. We want to introduce our artists to those who may not ever hear of them otherwise. It can be difficult for them to "get on" despite their talent. It is our hope that we can be of some help in the pursuit of their dreams. Please listen and judge for yourself. Also, I did not give the complete title to the song that I played. It is "Timeless Moments." Sorry Kim. The intro and outro is her s

  • No Hate In God

    07/11/2014 Duration: 19min

My cohost M.T. was under the weather for this show so I had the privilege of cohosting with my lovely wife, Ms. Lene. We discussed the life and death of Fred Phelps who alone was responsible for making Westboro Baptist Church and hated household name. We also discussed the reaction of some of the good people of Alabama to the coming of their native son, Apple exec Tim Cook. Coming from the south, I cna honestly say, the reaction was no surprise. I want to take this time to thank each of you for listening and spreading the word about the show. Our mission, and we have chosen to accept it, is to reach as many in the community and our allies as awe can. We want you to know that you are not alone in this life. God adores you. You are the light that was created to shine in an otherwise dark world. If we can all shine, then darkness has no choice but to disappear. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you and love you. • Free To Be

    20/10/2014 Duration: 39min

M.T. brought a story to Spiritual Studd that amazed them both. The story was about the practice of bacha posh(may have been mispronounced) in Afganistan. It opened both of their eyes and hearts to the plight of women who must resort to what the hosts wondered is a type of forced transgenderism (if that is a word). The culture looks at it as a way to deal with their segregated society. They also discuss the recent discussions of the Catholic Church becoming more, shall we say, "welcoming?" Of course, those of you who have listened in the past know that this led to all kinds of church talk. Last but not least, Spiritual Studd talks about the documentary that she watched. It was called Bully and it was one of the most heartbreaking films she has ever seen. If you ever have the chance to watch it, please do so. Also, the Enjoy the Show! • The News Show

    05/10/2014 Duration: 38min

Hello Family, Yes, it's the News Show. We discuss the new ruling in Missouri which says that Missouri must recognize same sex marriages performed out of state. We also discuss Jennifer Knapp who is a Christian singer who happens to be gay. Yes, it seems to be an oxymoron but hey, I understand. Then there is the case of the owners of an Oregon bakery who refused to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple and now face a fine of up to $150,000.00. You may find Spiritual Studd's take on this situation a little odd. You may be surprised who this couple is baking cakes for now. Then there is one of my favorite comedians, Wanda Sykes. She is coming to our town for a fundraiser for LikeMe Lighthouse. It is a great little gathering spot for the community. As always, I hope you enjoy the show. SS

  • Poetry Slam

  • Discrimination in the Gay Community

    01/08/2014 Duration: 41min

We have all been affected by some type of discrimination as gay people, but M.T. wonders why it is so prevelant in the gay community. In this episode, we discuss why the appearance of two studs or femmes dating seems to raise the ire of some gay people. Is it possible that we have been brainwashed to believe that we must portray the image that straight people or regs(regulars, as my son calls them) do, just so that they can feel comfortable? In doing that, we have made ourselves victimizers of the very community we are a part of. Should we not be protectors of one another and not do the same thing that accuse them of doing? Here we go! • The Relationship Show

    11/06/2014 Duration: 01h10min

On our second show, Ms. Lene (Spiritual Studd's fiance') joins us for a great discussion about relationships. The trio discusses M.T.'s past and current dating issues and how to maintain a successful relationship. Apparently alot is going on because the show ran long. They also discuss young studs and how to help them in relationships. It's all about relationships, and as Ms. Lene says, "Learning how to enjoy the journey and not rushing to the destination."     Disclaimer: The dog barking belongs to Spiritual Studd who profusely apologizes for certain other noises. The recording was done in her home and well, things happened. Again, please accept our apology and enjoy the show!
