The Martian is a 2011 science fiction novel written by Andy Weir. It is his debut novel under his own name. The book was originally self-published in 2011 and later re-released by Crown Publishing in 2014 after Crown purchased the exclusive publishing rights.

American Gods is a fantasy novel by British author Neil Gaiman. The novel is a blend of Americana, fantasy, and various strands of ancient and modern mythology, all centering on the mysterious and taciturn Shadow.

The Swiss Family Robinson is a novel by Johann David Wyss, first published in 1812, about a Swiss family of immigrants whose ship en route to Port Jackson, Australia, goes off course and is shipwrecked in the East Indies.

Sahara is a 1992 adventure novel by Clive Cussler. It is the eleventh book in Cussler's Dirk Pitt series. The 2005 film Sahara was based on the novel.

The Hunger Games is a series of young adult dystopian novels written by American author Suzanne Collins. The series is set in the Hunger Games universe, with the first three novels being a trilogy following teenage protagonist Katniss Everdeen

The Child Thief is a 2009 dark fantasy novel by the artist and novelist Gerald Brom. A dark retelling of the stories of Peter Pan and The Lost Boys, Brom takes many liberties with the originals by J M Barrie. Brom incorporates monsters and faeries, as well as a poverty-ridden populace in New York
