Lithuanian Out Loud 0226 – Sriuba Soup
22/08/2010 Duration: 12minHi there, I'm Jack. Today's episode begins a long series of episodes that will introduce a lot of new vocabulary related to food. When I started digging into this I was surprised at how large the subject of food is. You have your basic foods like apples, oranges, chicken, beef, etcetera. Then you have all the ingredients used in cooking such as flour, cloves, rosemary, and then you have all the foods you can create or that you might order in a restaurant, such as eggplant casserole with cheese, linguini pasta with clam sauce or cinnamon rolls with cherry filling. This is a huge topic. Anyway, we have many, many, many episodes scripted for this subject. We won't give them all to you at once or one after the other. We'll intersperse the series with exam episodes and episodes on other topics. Evenutally, we'll get through dozens of food programs. Just so you know what to expect, we just shoot through the food types and we use phrases that y

07/08/2010 Duration: 08minLL0222 - Vidurzemio Jura The Mediterranean Sea Hi there, I'm Jack and before we get started with today's episode, I just wanted to mention that Raminta won't be able to do any recordings for a few months. Fortunately, Gintarė has offered to help us and the two of us will be recording, maybe the next 40 - 60 episodes if we can meet up enough. It's not easy for us to get together and the location we record at isn't perfect, there are some noises in the background, but I'll try to edit out as much background noise as possible. Also, a listener asked us how to pronounce, Children's Support Center, in Lithuanian. Well, it's Paramos Vaikams Centras. We hope that helps. On today's episode Gintarė will say the phrase three times at the beginning and then she'll say it three times again at the end. So, thanks Gintare, for helping us record our episodes, you're awesome! Okay, on with the show! Hi there, I’m Jack, and I’m Gintarė, and welcome back to Lithuanian Out Loud where we offer the world th
