  • Canada By Way Of Korea

    26/08/2015 Duration: 34min

In June, Jurassic World opened to the highest grossing weekend in history at $209 million dollars. As of today, in both domestic and foreign sales, the film has grossed $1.6 billion dollars. Jurassic World's actual budget was $150 million. And to create the world of Jurassic World hundreds of Visual Effects artists were involved.  Lighters, Animators, and Compositors to name a few. Overseeing the pipeline of this machine are Production Coordinators, Managers, and Supervisors. Woojo Jeon is one of the Production Managers who saw to completion the creation of Jurassic World. Woojo is from South Korea and never planned on working in Visual Effects. Heck, she had never even planned on working in film. It all started in 2003 when, barely speaking a lick of English, she decided to travel to Canada. The plan was: Study English for six months and then return to Korea, but this never happened.  To see Image Engine's Visual Effects breakdown reel for Chappie click here. • Cereal For Humanity

    23/07/2015 Duration: 41min

Hans Obma enjoys cereal. As it turns out, so do most Americans. It's estimated 49% of Americans start their day off with a bowl of cereal. Americans buy around 2.7 billion boxes of cereal per year. That means each person consumes 160 bowls of cereal each year. A study done in 2013 reported $11 billion dollars in cereal sales alone. The US ranks #4 in cereal consumption with Ireland leading the way, followed by England and Australia. In this first episode of Mostly Minutia titled "Cereal For Humanity" I talk with Actor and Writer Hans Obma about his one true love... cereal. Mixed in with nostalgic cereal commercials, and food reviews on Special K Red Berries and Jiff Peanut Butter Cereal. Enjoy. Thank you to Kellogg, Gabe Fonseca of Cereal Time, Michael Jamieson of Food Review UK.  Pictures of Hans enjoying cereal.
