Tobacco control has been gross and corrupt since the beginning and the implications for the future of less harmful vapor products might be predicted by the past. We are also going to discuss those Vape "user fees" that the Trump administration and now Biden administration requested the FDA to collect from vapers and vape manufacturers. And also Pfizer has halted global sales of chantix due to possible carcinogens discovered. Yippie.

I used to think so, turns out I was WAY wrong about smokeless tobacco, because I had been fed misinformation, much in the same way other people are WAY wrong about vaping due to misinformation. The parallels are pretty incredible. We also have a guest today to discuss this. Might be some more un-popular opinions with Danielle as well.

Today's Topics Include: The FDA is finally going to ban menthol, or at least try to. There is opposition to this from literally everywhere. Republicans are against it, house dems are against it, the ACLU is against it and Barclay's investment house said it would be GOOD for cigarette sales. Were going to dig into all things Menthol ban today, and then chill a bit and celebrate May The 4th because Danelle and I are both enormous Star Wars fans.

TBN! 4/20/21 Today's Topics Include: Armed robbery for Juul pods? this is more fishy than a Seattle market. The Biden administration is rolling out how they plan to handle nicotine and it's not a super surprising take. Also Los Angeles is suing a vape company for marketing to kids, despite the vape company exclusively making and selling THC products. Yet they still just call it "vaping" i'm mad as hell. It's also 420 today, so happy 420. I'm going to get out the Volcano and some other vaporizers today on the stream and demonstrate how to have a harm-reduced 420 celebration.

Sorry, some of these are coming out of order obviously we are going to talk about THE BLACK MARKET WE WARNED YOU ABOUT!!! and how there is ZERO shock on my face right now because we have been warning for ... almost literally YEARS about the black market they were creating. The big topic this week in the vape / tobacco control space is a "manifesto" of sorts. A paper put out by veteran tobacco control leader Cliff Douglas. Cliff Douglas has worked in tobacco control for 33 years, he founded the American Lung Association Center For tobacco Control. This guy is a huge deal and has written a pretty earth shaking paper. We are going to dive into it, talk about our take aways and discuss what this means for the bigger tobacco control landscape and how I believe this will be one of the catalysts for mainstream vape acceptance.
