The church thrives when its members select godly elders and deacons to lead in meeting the body’s spiritual and physical needs out of the overflow of their own love for God, His Word, and their families.

God builds His church by uniting people together in Christ and then giving them different spiritual gifts to use to serve Him and one another from a heart of love and humility.

God’s purpose for the church is for Him to build together a people who will glorify Him as they worship Him and make Him known to the world.

We did not invent the church. Rather, the church is God’s idea to bring a people together for Himself and for His purposes,purposes that certainly will succeed.

Is there evidence in my life that I am aware of my great sinfulness and have a repentant heart?

John the Baptist had a unique calling to prepare people for Jesus' coming. Yet, God wants to use us as well to call people to believe in Jesus

Jesus' own testimony of who He is shows us the heart of God the Father and how we can know Him as well.

God the Father ordained for Jesus to be nurtured in a home with parents who loved God and who spiritually invested in Him.

Let's marvel at the reality that Jesus is fully God and fully man, and let that truth lead us to run to Him for help each day.

Those who delight in God's presence are the ones who are ready for Jesus' coming and eager to share it with others.

Even when Jesus was a newborn infant, God revealed that everyone will respond to Him in one of two ways, either with humble faith or proud rejection. Which way are you responding to Him?

God's desire is for us to experience His peace as we marvel at His salvation for us and long for others to experience it as well.

Mary and Joseph desired to know and obey God's Word. Do we desire to do the same?

How are we responding to God's revelation to us that Jesus has made a way to forgive our sins so we can know God and live for His glory?

Jesus is the sovereign Lord over all things. He left the glories of heaven and humbled Himself to redeem us.

Saving faith produces a response of praise and thanksgiving for God's unearned mercy and grace toward undeserving sinners.
