Derby Day FC

This week's episode is a playoff special. The Red Bulls are coming up to their crucial matchup in the second leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against DC United. Also this week is the Cosmos playoff match against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. We also discuss the ridiculous firing of NYCFC's coach Jason Kreis.

Once again it was a tough week all around. NYCFC's playoff hopes were ended by a Montreal win against Colorado. The Red Bulls could've clinched the Eastern Conference with a win against Toronto FC but lost. However, no loss hurt more than the United States falling to Mexico in the CONCACAF Cup. It was a tough loss to take but NYCFC lost to DC United in stoppage time. This puts their playoff hopes under a very minimal margin. We explain the scenario in this week's episode. New York City FC beat league-leading Vancouver to keep their playoff hopes alive. Happy 4th of July Weekend! The Red Bulls finally break their slump after beating NYFCFC in part two of the Hudson River Derby and beat the Cosmos in the Narrows Derby. The United States beats China and then Germany to move on to the World Cup Final! The Red Bulls played two subpar games this week, though they got a win out of one of them. NYCFC got a decisive victory over Toronto FC, which makes this weekend's Hudson Derby even more interesting.
