Psalm 66:1-4 1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth! 2 Sing the glory of his name;make his praise glorious. 3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you. 4 All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name.”  

Psalm 62:1-7 1 I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. 3 So many enemies against one man— all of them trying to kill me. To them I’m just a broken-down wall or a tottering fence. 4 They plan to topple me from my high position. They delight in telling lies about me. They praise me to my face but curse me in their hearts. Interlude 5 Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. 7 My victory and honor come from God alone.  

Psalm 116:1-19 1 I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.  2 Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.  3The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow.  4 Then I called on the name of the LORD: “LORD, save me!”  5 The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.  6 The LORD protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me.  7 Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.  8 For you, LORD, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,  9 that I may walk before the LORDin the land of the living.  10 I trusted in the LORD when I said, “I am greatly afflicted”;  11 in my alarm I said, “Everyone is a liar.”  12 What shall I return to the LORDfor all his goodness to me?  13I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.  14 I will fulfill my vows to the LORDin the presence of all his people.  15Precious

Psalm 123:1-4 1 I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven.  2 As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he shows us his mercy.  3 Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy on us, for we have endured no end of contempt.  4 We have endured no end of ridicule from the arrogant, of contempt from the proud.

Psalm 130:1-8 1 Out of the depths I cry to you, LORD;  2 Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.  3 If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?  4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.  5 I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.  6 I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.  7 Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.  8 He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.

Psalm 91:9-16   9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. 2 I cry out to God Most High, to God, who vindicates me. 3 He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me—God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.
