How is our generation, Gen Z, perceived in the digital world? By: Joe McElwee, Frankie Tanglianetti, and Matt Davis

We asked each other many questions from an article we all read. Some examples were: what makes a great ad? Do you use different tones across different platforms? What are your top three platforms where you watch videos. We had some answers that were pretty much the same throughout the whole group, we also had some questions that we all answered differently. Lastly, we wrapped up our podcast with the question, where do you think the future of technology will take us?

Our podcast was about the apps that you use on your phone, and how they affect people. We also talked about our thoughts on ads, how ads can be persuasive, and how they make people buy things. Thee adds in our opinion needed to be flashy, and good looking, in order for people and ourselves too want to buy the product. You hear opinions from Malvern students about advertising, use of social media, cause marketing, and how much television we watch vs. other streaming platforms. I hope you enjoy. 

In today's podcast, we discuss Gen Z and how living their lives with technology has affected them. This podcast is about the future of technology and what our thoughts are on Generation Z. This podcast displays our opinions on what we think the advancements of technology will bring and what they can cause. This podcast warns about and displays the up coming techniques of of technology and how people are abusing their technological skills. Throughout this project, we learned a lot of things about smartphones and the effects they have. We learned that they could be very dangerous and can be very distracting. We also learned that they are a necessity in today's society and how we can use them for good. Social media can help others interact and connect with each other, but can also fuel bullying, false opinions, and jealousy. Overall, smartphones have their positives and negatives, but because of the advanced use of technology in our society, they are a necessity for people. This podcasts shows an interview that displays how the internet is taking over people lives. Many people throughout our communities have different opinions about the topic and we are here to explain them. As we talk about the many ideas between the internet and the certain issues it links too, such as bullying or over usage, we explain how others feel about the topic and whether or not these opinions are liable. We will talk about the ideas through 3 essential questions that have came up the most throughout our research of the internet and how the community has reacted to them. In this podcast, two group members discussed the problems with technology and the issues it can cause it young people’s lives. They discussed excessive screen time, addiction to certain apps, and overall how much technology has consumed people’s lives in our day in age. For our podcast we had Hans and Ronan be the hosts and they used information from a survey we sent out and they used that information in our podcast. We also had like a special guest, Aidan, and he talked over the phone about his personal life with technology making him seem like he is having struggles with his technology use. Then Hans and Ronan gave helpful information to help him with his struggles. Then they ended our podcast acting like we had another podcast coming up for the viewers to stay tune. Group: Owen Bergan, Andrew Harder, Justin Turley, Matt Ford, GJ Sucher, Brendan McLaughlin.  In this podcast we discuss how cell phones have affected the lives of teens. We discuss changes in social and people skills, depression, anxiety, and teens driving. We interview a couple teens from Malvern Prep. They answer questions about how their lives have changed due to smartphones. It is an interesting podcast and we recommend listening.

Student's will re-imagine The Atlantic article Have Smartphones Destroyed a Generation by Jean M. Twenge to explore how it relates to Malvern Prep students. Each class will produce four different episodes that tackle this debate.
