In Mark 1:14-45 we clearly see Jesus' priority to call people to repentance and faith because the Kingdom of God is near. This is a challenge to all who follow Jesus, to live with the same priorities as their great King and Saviour.

As Mark begins his Gospel about Jesus, he makes clear from the outset the task before him. Mark writes his account to show that Jesus is the Messiah, God’s Son—and that this is good news for all.
