Interview with Burma Action Ireland
03/12/2013 Duration: 01minWe went to Citywest on a Development Education trip where we were told how to set up our mini NGO's (Non-Governmental Organisations) and then met with some of the members of the NGO's that were there. Lauren and Claire from RTY interviewed one of the members of Burma Action Ireland who tells us of his difficult past in Burma and how he hopes circumstances there will improve. We learnt how we need to be more aware of what's going on in the world and not just in our own locality.

Schools Across Borders - Global Citizens student conference
23/11/2013 Duration: 11minSt Wolstan's TY attended the Schools Across Borders student conference recently in City West Hotel, Dublin. The conference was an opportunity for the 6 schools in the SAB Global Citizens network to get together and share ideas on what it means to be a global citizen. Radio TY was there and conducted some interviews with the NGO's who were conducting workshops and offering advice on setting up our own mini NGO to take action. We talk to Concern, Trocaire, Irish Aid, and Burma Action Ireland.

This week on Radio TY we interviewed current TY's and teachers preparing for the Junk Kouture competition. Students explained to us what their outfits were made of, and the teachers told us about the process involved in getting ready for the competition.
