232. When I Was a Kid...

Synopsis

When I was a kid I didn’t think I was creative. I didn’t make the elementary school choir, so I stopped singing. To this day I don’t sing in church. I didn’t get my art project chosen for the school art show, so I stopped drawing, painting and creating “art”. I actually love and admire those that can draw, paint, and sculpt. You know what many would consider “art”. I tried out for the school play lead and wasn’t chosen, so I never auditioned again. I have sat in the audience of so many plays and admired those that performed on stage.  It literally wasn’t until I was an adult that I realized and learned that there are endless ways to be creative.  I think that’s why living the life I have while creating the life I love is so important to me. It’s also why helping others do the same is my driving force day in and day out.  When you write a personal mission statement, determine your non-negotiables and then create a vivid vision for your future you are an artist.
