Synopsis

In our Q&A #266, Pastors Doug, Blake and Kyle discuss the following: 1. Is it possible I have a different idea of who Jesus is? I read scriptures where Jesus seems to be “harsh” toward the Pharisees or his disciples . Or scriptures like Mat 12:34and 17:17 I think: is the Jesus I know and experience the same one as this Jesus in the Scripture? I can not recall a time in my life where Jesus was harsh with me. Am I creating a “nicer” Jesus in my head? Is this a problem? Should I strive to create in my mind the most accurate idea of who Jesus is? 2. Is there extra-biblical evidence of the exodus out of Egypt? Secondly, as a Christian, does it matter if there is or isn't? What about to a non-believer? 3. My wife and I decided to make our family theme for this school year based on Romans 12:2, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Easy Peasy right??? WRONG!
