Who You Say I Am - Week 2  Over the last 3 years, there have been a series of cultural waves pushing back at the status quo of society. The #Me2 trend almost exploded as one woman after another began to speak up about abuse they’d endured, especially in Hollywood. This then overflowed into a reaction against abuse in workplaces, unequal pay based on gender and even into parenting styles that create a culture of sexism. Shortly after this, an incident where a white policeman put his knee on a black man’s throat, strangling him to death led to the #BLM movement. Shortly after this, a series of LGBTQ legislation and curriculum was released into schools and media which then became another in the series of trends. All these trends shook christians who’s identity was not clearly defined by Jesus. This series is aimed at addressing the root problem; Identity which then leads into how we see and respond to cultural messaging.
