Episode 82 | Bruce Springsteen 'Born to Run' Album

Informações:

Synopsis

It was on August 25th of 1975 that a Jersey boy named Bruce Springsteen released his third studio album called 'Born To Run'. Prior to that summer Bruce was relatively unknown by the mainstream and about to be dropped by his record label. By the end of the summer of 1975, however, all that would change with 'Born To Run' and by the fall he would find himself on the cover of both Time and Newsweek. The success of 'Born To Run' didn’t come easy, however. With pressure from his record label to come up with a hit album, Bruce drove both himself and his E Street Band to the brink of a near mental breakdown over several torturous months. As Bruce put it to Rolling Stone, "It felt like there were gonna be no more records after this record. We were all going off a cliff the next day, as far as my approach to it."This is the story of the album that pulled Bruce from the edge of that cliff and eventually secured him a permanent place in rock history - 'Born To Run'.SIDE ONE:1.
