Americas View of Truckers. I came across an article that depicted the trucking industry and the American Trucker as just pure criminal. The article showed how most people view truckers and their lifestyle. I had forgot how the public looks at you, when you tell them you are a trucker, until I read this story. You would think, the public would respect what men and women go through every day in trucking. But it is just the opposite. They dont honor the men and women that stay on the road for countless weeks and months at a time. It's just the opposite. They're opinion is, most of the times, low, mixed with fear of the working class road warriors. All this animosity towards truckers just might be something we brought on ourselves. You heard of "one bad apple spoils the whole bunch", right? Well, this goes for trucking also. Most truck drivers are not bad people, we give respect and are watching out for the general public on the road. But all you need, is that one guy, thats driving reckless with 72 feet
