Safety Director Fired at Trucking Company. This past week a safety director at a mid-size carrier, got the boot! Let call him Bob. Bob thought he was all set and was just an ornery man when it came to the operations manager. Unfortunately for Bob, the ops guy was more valued than Bob. When working anywhere, one should know their value. Especially if your time at the workplace is much much shorter than the guy you are pissing off. Bob was also in charge of hiring. Each time a driver quit his job, the operations manager would blame Bob. Bob, however, would respond in a "not so nice way". Emails, verbally and even behind the ops guy's back. Eventually this would catch up to Bob. Safety Week is coming in July Things to know before you venture into National Safety week this July. The D.O.T. will be out in full force. Pulling over not only professional truck drivers but also non-professional ordinary car drivers. They will be looking for speeders and aggressive drivers. This will take place July 10th
