Directed by Wes Craven, Scream would go on to completely revitalize the genre and even got a few sequels out of it. So with the recent release of the fifth installment, the Pop Kannon crew decided it would be a great time to travel back to the mid-90s and talk about the original! We go over what worked for us, including subverting expectations with the beginning of the film, the acting, the way Ghostface gets his ass kicked, and the meta approach the movie takes. We also cover some things that didn't work for us, including the use of anamorphic lenses affecting the image quality, the music, and the internal logic of the killer and his plan!
