I’m uploading this in December 2009. I’ve stumbled upon a box of old mix tapes from the mid 90s and this one’s a corker, full of main room peak time vocal anthems. According to my scribbles on the inlay card (pictures attached to the file) I originally mixed this for Tony Mellor after a lost weekend at The Fridge in London. It may have been Pride weekend when I travelled down with Chris Buckley, Mark & Darren. Anyway, I remember mixing this on a sunny day in my flat in Chorlton.Highlights include the opening pumped-up version of Where Love Lives, Moné’s Movin’, and The Happy Clappers’ Can’t Help Myself. The Lisa Marie Experience deliver ripping remixes of Helicopter’s classic On Ya Way and Nu Soul’s Hide-A-Way.
