We’re waxing nostalgic for a time before half the things in our kitchens were covered in paraffin. Why, you ask? Because we made candles! Stupid, barely scented, fifty dollar candles. In addition to our adventures with wax, Alissa figured out the recipe for full box Chex mix, Liz’s vision board continues to bring the hits, Liz’s daughter discovered the wonders of self-rising flour and we learn that we are pretty clueless as to the size of an acre.   The Basic B-swax 1.5 cups of strawberry purée (purée strawberries in a blender with a splash of water) 1/4 cup honey simple syrup (equal parts honey and water, heated until honey dissolves) Juice of one lime 3 oz gin 16 oz ice 1/4 tsp habanero salt   Combine all ingredients in a blender and whiz it up!
