Synopsis

Welcome to the first episode of the new Sydney Sexual Health Centre podcast! We're launching this new podcast series to tie into the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia on May 17th. The Day is a show of support for LGBT human rights and the theme this year is "families". This podcast episode discusses an upcoming research project on families and blood borne viruses that's looking to break some new ground on this topic. We talk to researcher Christy Newman from the Centre for Social Research in Health and counseling unit manager Brendan Crozier from Sydney Sexual Health Centre.
