Independent golf consultant Phil Grice is in an perfect place to answer many of these posers. As the former manager of Royal Norwich, he shepherded the club through the initial coronavirus restrictions in that near two-month spell in the spring. And as a former chairman of the Golf Club Managers’ Association, he was negotiating and arguing golf’s place alongside the R&A, PGA and key industry bodies.
