In this message, we look at a Scripture that is often used at graduations or in cards for those experiencing transitions in life. However, when we see the context surrounding this verse, we come to understand that this promise was given to a particular people (Israelites) who were in exile because of their disobedience. God was telling them that He had not forgotten them and would ultimately redeem them, but not for 70 years. From this, we learn that no matter where we are, even in the valleys and times when God seems far away, He has a plan of redemption for us through Jesus Christ!
