Uncle Luke has a bone to pick with Jay-Z. Last week, the NFL announced that Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will be the performers for the halftime show at the 2020 Super Bowl, which will take place at the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Fla., on Feb. 2, 2020. On Monday (Sept. 30), Luke, who is a Miami native, penned a pointed Miami New Times editorial calling out the NFL and Jay-Z because they didn't choose any Miami artists for the performance. "Neither Lopez nor Shikira is from Miami," Luke says. "Lopez and Shakira don't get involved in social issues that concern the community. They don't volunteer to help the needy. To me, that's a settler. This Super Bowl is supposed to be about showcasing Miami for more reasons than one." Luke adds that Hov should have called him before letting the NFL announce their Super Bowl halftime performers. "Jay-Z is in violation of the G code," Luke writes.
