Value Adds Value!

There has been a lot of talk in the recent months about Critical Race Theory. Over half the states have introduced laws that would make it nearly impossible to discussion topics having to do with equity and race. Five states have already passed laws to make it more difficult to teach these topics including Texas. Everyday you can read a new story of a school board meeting that goes off the rails because of the misconceptions about CRT, so we wanted to talk it through.  Here are the questions we asked: 1. What is Critical Race Theory? 2. Why are so many people afraid of or angered by Critical Race Theory? 3. If we don't discuss race with our students what are the consequences? We are doing our part to further the discussion in the hopes that we can come to an understanding of how equity work improves our schools.
