As we have been studying The Gospel of Jesus Christ according to John, we have noted that the major purpose of the book is the presentation of the proof that Jesus is the Son of God. It is this truth, as well, which is at the core of the gospel message. The perfect sacrifice for our sins could only be made by God Himself becoming a man. On April 11, we studied John 2:1-25 considering the beginning of Jesus' signs. We saw in that message that there are at least seven signs, which John includes in his account of the gospel of Christ, and that the purpose of these signs were demonstrate the deity of Christ and His fulfillment of the Messianic office. In that message, we considered the first of the signs and the prophetic proclamation of the seventh. Today, we consider the second and third of these signs presented by John. Last week, in our examination of Jesus' conversation with the woman at the well, we considered the fact that God is NOT a respecter of persons. There is no partiality or prejudice with
