Mary Ellen Popyk created and operated The Sanctuary for Mind, Body, and Spirit in Memphis, TN, aholistic store and community center that hosted many events, classes, and expos over seven years. TheSanctuary was Mary Ellen’s catalyst to bring the community together on many levels: filling a void byintroducing the public to new practitioners, authors, services, and ideas; connecting business owners formutual marketing, networking, and partnering opportunities; and providing a platform for professionalindividuals to teach, write, speak, and mentor others.Mary Ellen was born with an innate knowing of things outside of mainstream ideology.
