Today’s episode is with my guest, Erika Opperman. Erika and I have a mutual friend and I love how Jenny connected us! Erika and her husband Brian were part of a church plant two years ago along in Kansas City with her two sons, Axel and Max, don’t you just love their names?! On today’s episode you will hear Erika’s story. As a young pre-teen girl, Erika’s teacher at school voiced concern to her parents as she was showing signs of anxiety. And, Erika saw herself sitting across from a Christian counselor at just eleven years old. A quote that I asked her about on the episode was when she said, “Jesus saved my life, but His word saved my mind.” We talk about what made the difference as an eleven year old. A few years later, Erika felt God calling her to full time Christian ministry when she was 16 and she shares lessons she’s learned along the way. On this episode, we also talk about the different seasons God has called us to, what Biblical perseverance looks like, scripture memory, and what God is teaching her
