Alexander Solzhenitsyn and the Moral Imperative of Truth

Informações:

Synopsis

During the Soviet era, snitches or KGB informants destroyed those ‘bonds of trust’ which constitute the fabric of any civil society. In the age of Twitter, YouTube and Facebook, when conservatives get censored or deplatformed, we can better understand the very dire consequences of social conformism. This is why we should take heed of Solzhenitsyn’s moral imperative: in all circumstances of life, tell the truth. The only response to the spiritual malaise brought about by any form of collectivism is repentance, honesty, truth-telling, and a genuine respect for the dignity of the human person.
