2017 Free Agency First Wave The first wave of the 2017 NFL Free Agents is underway and for those wanting "splash" moves for their teams, it was not lacking. As a matter of fact, the splashes yesterday should have been prefaced with yells of "cannon ball!!" The Cleveland Browns went all NBA in the NFL by purchasing a second round pick in exchange for their cap space. On paper it was $16 million in salary for a second and sixth round pick. Osweiler can't complain, but his ego has to be severely bruised. The Philadelphia Eagles finally got a real wide receiver for their stud QB to toss the pill at. They also got a speed merchant to compliment him. They had nowhere to go but up. The only bad move they could have made would have been none. Cornerbacks, safeties, defensive ends, quarterbacks, offensive linemen and linebackers were all on the move yesterday.
