After watching Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego walk out of the fiery furnace, Nebuchadnezzar again boasted of his self-importance, inviting the judgment of God. Remarkably, his most offensive expressions of pride followed his giving lip service to the supremacy of our God, which highlights the deceptive nature of a false humility.
