How many times did you graduate? I'm almost 45 and I only had two opportunities to graduate… High School and College. If you search almost any social media site right now, you will see 2nd graders in caps and gowns saying that they "graduated"… WHAT?? How do you become the valedictorian of "nap time"? How is it that we have allowed this to happen? Kids are growing up with participation trophies and yearly graduations and what happens when they go into the "real world"? It's scary out there. You see, nobody GIVES you a promotion because you filled the space in a cubicle nicely. Nobody gives you a promotion because you participated in weekly lunches. You get the promotion and the raise by working for it…and EARNING IT! The participation trophy generation isn't going to understand that because they are GIVEN what they have without having to earn it. I don't mean be mean to kids. I don't mean to make kids feel inferior… I am saying that they do need to learn that there is a winner and a loser in almost every real
