  Faith has a hard time surviving if it’s only on the surface of our lives.  But these days we’re so busy that a little spot on the surface is often all we have to give God.  Nonetheless, if we want a faith that lasts, we need to take time and rest, to let God sink in like paint soaking into a wall, so that our resultant faith isn’t something superficial, but instead something that’s worked deep into the fibers of who we are.
