Fr. Pierre presents a moving reflection on the crucifixion of Jesus in this homily from the Good Friday service at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.     We have witnessed the Downfall of Love.  Love has fallen.  The King of Love has fallen.  I guess this is what you get for loving too much for loving too freely.  They take you, and lift you up on a tree, and strike you, and pierce you, until your blood spills everywhere.  You fall like a ripe fruit, and break open on the ground.    Where will we go, now that Love has fallen?  What rocks, what cave can hide us?  Because if Love has fallen, if the heartbeat of the world has stopped, if the Life of life itself has ended, then destruction is sure to follow.  We're lost.  We will all turn against each other, and tear each other to pieces, and then night shall reign.    But I see a woman and a young man standing there, close, very close, too close to the Cross.
